Well, we already know that Carol Ann from Poltergeist was raped to death by Steven Spielberg and The Fonz. So, it's not a long walk to Spielberg putting pedo imagery and messaging in ET.

I think you’re confusing your sick fantasies with reality.

She was into it. You know she used to do coke and party when she was 10, right? That's documented. There are even photos of underage Drew making out with underage Brooke Shields at the Playboy mansion.

Brooke, of course, was the star of the 1978 film Pretty Baby, in which she plays a prostitute and does frontal nudity at the age of 11. The film was of course funded by - drum roll - Playboy Magazine.

She's talked about doing coke and going to Hollywood parties when she was super young. I'm not making that up. The Pretty Baby shite you can just google.

Who knows what the hell Drew did but I do remember she was a mess as a teenager.

She was on magazines:

Steven is Drew’s literal Godfather. While producers definitely fricked Drew up and it’s a miracle how competent she is today given what was done to her, I find it hard to believe Spielberg was directly involved in this.

E.T. is the best movie about divorce and loss that has ever been made.

And the fact that Spielberg let Williams take control of the music at the end and he cut the movie to match Williams' score is incredible. That NEVER happens in Hollywood.

I don't know anyone with a soul who isn't a complete blubbering mess as the end of that film.

True story alert.

Went to see it as a family in 1982 and brought my then 71 year old grandmother with
us. During this scene, she started laughing and said, "Well...let's go. He's dead."

( with a gigantic assist from John Williams)

I came here to post this. As great as Spielberg is at creating that magic as a visual storyteller, that John Williams theme added to that scene exponentially. I’ve only been to Disney/Universal once, when I was 35 or 36 and we took our kids. And the ET ride at Universal was my favorite of all of them. I legit got emotional on that bike when that theme kicked in.

Both probably top 5 all-time in their respective professions individually, but the Spielberg/Williams combo is easily the best in film history at eliciting the perfect emotion to move the audience in the way they want.
