I don't see how people expect Man of Steel to compete with this.

It will do big numbers but Marvel has a roll going and Iron Man is the best of the franchises. Monetarily, Man of Steel won't come near IM3 and most likely not in terms of popcorn movie fun.

That's almost as bad as that idiot on the OT yesterday saying there was a robbery by the Greek ample theater.

It won't come close to beating it at the box office, but it better be a better movie. IM3 was the worst of the franchise by a mile IMO.

He could have gotten away with blaming it on autocorrect, but no, he thought it was spelled that way

Well, that's disheartening, because the second one was terrible. The scene where he's shooting watermelons in his iron man suit then fights Cheadle was just laughably terrible

lol at RDJr acting like this will be his last Iron Man.

They are going pay him out the arse and fund multiple pet projects to get him to do another

In money terms, no it won't beat Iron Man but it will likely be the better movie.

When word gets out about Man of Steel being a better movie, the gross profits will be much better for a sequel.

I think people see Christopher Nolan's name and a cool trailer and automatically assume that by default this will be the film of the year.

Zack Snyder scares me. I'm hopeful that Man of Steel will be good, but Snyder is pretty terrible.

I wouldn't say he's terrible, his films are just "okay", and given the scope and scale of his films I feel they should be better than that.

Warner is out to make money. Superman will make money.

Is Iron Man 3 a failure if it doesn't do Avengers or Avatar numbers?

Or course not.

After the latest Man of Steel trailer several users here were saying that Iron Man 3 would be crushed by Man of Steel. I just don't see that happening.
