As expected, he greatly enjoyed it - loved Kilmer as Doc.

Says its the best Western he's seen. I cant wait until he sees Outlaw Josey Wales.

The great thing about westerns is they are "timeless"

You fail as a father if you don’t show him Lonesome Dove or the original True Grit.

Introduce him to the classics while he’s young. Give him some Louis L’Amour books to read.

My son watched Tombstone last year and got hooked on Westerns. I bought all the Clint movies.

Love this, and that he loved it. I still remember the first time I watched Unforgiven with my son... special moment.

Have an upvote, Sir.

I highly recommend adding Unforgiven, Appaloosa, 3:10 to Yuma, Open Range, Hostiles and the Proposition to his watchlist if he's old enough to watch rated R films.

Dances With Wolves and Quigley Down Under if he isn't.

TOJW May actually cause his nuts to prematurely drop. A movie likes that turns a boy into a man.

Unforgiven and 3:10 to Yuma are also great choices for semi modern westerns.

I'm only 33, but love Louis. Own every book he wrote.

Named my son Ronan because of Ronan Chantry.

The John Wayne/John Ford cavalry trilogy is a must see, also.

Blazing Saddles will offer him a different experience. Be sure and get that one on this list.

My boys loved Big Jake when they were young. I bet I watched it 25 times with them.
