What are some mythological artifacts people would be interested in Indy seeking out? Anything specific or just generic sword/cup/stone?

I would love to see a quest for the Palladium (statue of Athena said to protect Troy, and later Rome, and her army from falling - stolen by Odysseus in the Iliad). Makes sense that a foreign army/mercenary would want it, and the Siege of Troy is just realistic enough to ground the story. Plus it puts us back in the Mediterranean/North Africa which feels a lot more historic.

My thought would be to find the "Tabernacle" which was the portable earthly dwelling place of God amongst the children of Israel from the time of the Exodus from Egypt through the conquering of the land of Canaan...

LINK

It was also the place where the Ark of the Covenant was kept...

Since we know where the Ark is (Even if Indy Doesn't), perhaps the story line could have him returning the Ark to the Tabernacle and him crossing over....

That's all I have

Is George Lucas involved? Then you can forget about skipping the CGI.

Hopefully not. Between the aliens in Crystal Skull and his new ideas about Force microbes for Star Wars, Lucas needs to be tied to a pole like Indy in Raiders to keep his ideas off any new movies.

When soaked in a very specific solution, Jesus Christ himself comes out of the real shroud, thus beginning the rapture. Humankind has been waiting around this whole time for the rapture when it has been up to us to set the wheels in motion.

What in God's name are you talking about?

The One Ring. The fires of Mordor didn't actually melt it.

Noah's ark should be the artifact.

My story is infinitely better than Crystal Skull. So kiss my arse.
