Mangold did Logan right?

Logan, Ford v Ferrari, Walk the Line. He's a great choice, IMO.

I'd just like to point out the small irony of the fact that your name is taken from a joke from a movie that came out the same month you registered 12 years ago.

True, but being an obnoxious twat is a conscious choice. You should work on that.

So, basically, a high floor-low ceiling director. I know some people on here will jerk off to Logan like it's the second coming of the f-ing Citizen Kane, but that film, like all of films, are really nothing special... However, against the backdrop of the modern cinema landscape of utter goat shite, he looks impressive.

He won't screw it up, but this movie will probably end up being about as forgettable as Ford v. Ferrari...nice in the moment, but 5 year later, people will barely remember seeing it.

I fully expect Indy 5 to be slightly better than Crystal Skulls, but that's about it.

The female lead will also do all the hero stuff and beat up 250 lb heavies while old man Indy sits back and makes ironic wise cracks. They shouldn't even be making this film. There's nowhere to go.

Literally no one is saying this. It's a good film for that genre. I don't think directors go into comic book films hoping to create masterpieces.

What kind of insurance does a studio take out to spend millions making a movie with a 78 year old main character?

Relax a bit, man. This isn’t that serious.

5?

The saga ended when Indy and his Dad rode off into the sunset after Last Crusade.

Five...pshaw.

This site has gotten some serious mileage out of the joke.

I tried this joke when replying to a post about this movie. People lost their fricking minds, and started wishing death upon me. It was very confusing.

He's just getting old, dude. It's not as easy to come up with complex motifs when you're in your 80s. His work started falling off around 2005 or so. He hasn't delivered anything solid, at least in my opinion, since Revenge of the Sith.

Indy fricking sucked over 10 years ago, and now they’re going to do this with an even more ancient Harrison Ford. Sure he pulled Deckard off 30 years later, but it seems like that’s going to suck.

What of Shia? Indy’s actual son?

Kidding, I don’t care.

Even a little.
