Is Indiana Jones forever ruined by Crystal Skull? Is Rocky ruined bebause of Rocky 5? If you love the franchise...You treat it like an abortion. The child no one talks about.

I dont get how you bring up these mediocre franchises that had one really bad film, but star wars pushed out a decade of complete trash on their fans. but anyway

Why not bring them up? How many movie sequels or prequels have over 25 years of time inbetween them and the previous entry?
As far as most are concerned Geore Lucas is suffering from dementia. We will remember him as he was and the prequels were just a bad dream that in 30 years will probably be rebooted and fixed.
Maybe your grandkids can drag you to go see them and while in amazement you will suffer from an epileptic seizure.
