in a gutter of a drug overdose on Halloween, would he and his brother have gone down as one of the greatest sibling actors of all time?

Maybe after Stephen and Daniel Baldwin.

But seriously though, Warren Beatty and Shirley McClain are both Oscar winners. They'd be up there.

Rumors were Lucas had him in mind to play Anakin in the prequels after their relationship in Indiana Jones.

Casting problems aside, it was the convoluted story that was the ultimate downfall of the prequels. But that little bastard Lloyd was the hot turd on top of the shite cake.

It's certainly possible. He was rumored to be the potential lead guy in some of Leonardo DiCaprio's early roles like The Basketball Diaries and Titanic. He was supposed to play the reporter (Christian Slater) in Interview with the Vampire. He had also agreed to play Emile Hirsch's role in Milk when they were originally going to film it.

I loved me some River Phoenix.

That would be Lionel, Ethel and John Barrymore.

No. Joaquin is only a hare-lipped reminder of what could have been, or so says Peter Griffin.

Yep, even though they're as flaky as a box of Wheaties. Politics aside, I would put Jane and Peter Fonda over the Phoenix brothers any day of the week.

The correct answer is the Olsen twins. They changed theater as we know it.

you jest, but I think Phoenix would have had a similar career to DiCaprio. He'd probably still be one of the biggest movie stars in the world today.
