Agreed.
Even then, however one felt about Snoke, Last Jedi did set up Kylo as the new big bad. Driver has been, by far, the best part (outside of BB8) of these movies. Run with him as the main enemy.
Abrams didn't have to bring in the emperor or anyone else to reprise the Luke/Anakin redemption

I just saw it and I liked it. Don’t care. It basically retconned TLJ out. And I respect that.
I’d love JJ to leak the plot outline he gave Rian. I’ll be there was development that was supposed to happen in the second movie that got scrapped so RJ could make a two hour SJW commercial.

It does which isn’t ideal. That’s why they originally had Snoke but then Rian messed it up.

Episodes 1-3 set the standard for that. Have a shitty plot. At least Episodes 1-3 had some decent actors.

Was Snoke supposed to be the new bad guy for all 3 movies? I don’t think they roll him out the way they did in TFA if they didn’t intend for him to be the new “Emperor” level bad guy.
I remember people we’re kind of fired up trying to figure out his backstory. Too bad Rian Johnson had to frick it all up.

Not a huge SW fan, but took the boys to see it.
Everyone had been looking for something, and just like that "they found it"! Luke had been so close with the clues...but the dagger was 10" below him? Guess he gave up too early.
Lando was a good add, and he did the "Colt 45" at the end.
