Now that you mention it nobody else could play Rhett Butler either.

Nobody else could play Elvis like Elvis or Marilyn Monroe like Marilyn Monroe.
Of course this is an after the fact deal where I have seen the performance. If they started from scratch maybe somebody else could have done these and some of the others mentioned.

I can't picture anybody other than Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister. Gary Oldman, Daniel Day Lewis, Al Pacino, Jack Nicholson... Nah.
