I haven't seen it since I was a kid and even by today's standards, it's still pretty brutal and unforgiving.

What stuck out this time around (and the last time ever) was the soundtrack. I had never noticed before but the soundtrack didn't fit the movie at all. In pretty much any scene where slaves weren't being brutalized, the music was very sorta 50's movie musical or something out of Disney. No shite, it was weird.

Anyway, has anything quite like mandingo been made since? I guess maybe django but anything else?

Just Google "Mandingo video". Make sure you have the childlock off on your Google search.

Yeah there's some good stuff on pornhub for sure but i sorta had in mind the idea that if someone wanted to remake mandingo the motion picture, they wouldn't be able to get away with it. Or could they? I don't know what society can tolerate anymore.

Mandingo was pretty frickin' cold.

I don't know what the frick you're talking about but i was talking about the movie mandingo, not the person or whatever.

Anyway, if you haven't seen it, give it a go. It ain't frickin' gone with the wind, that's for sure.

BION, around 1961 this was actually a Broadway play, with James Dean as the son, replacing the fired Dennis Hopper.

I think it can about a week.

I thought about this and eventually figured out what you meant, but am voting a firm "No" on this as an acceptable acronym.

Disappointed that it took this long for Mandingo 2: The Enslavening to be referenced.
