I visited the street from the ending scene in Breathless

I was in Paris last week and decided to visit the street where they filmed the final scene in the 1960 movie Breathless. It's where Michel runs down the street after he was shot by the police and runs out of breath and dies. I put together a video comparing it to today and in the movie for those who are interested: LINK

Pretty cool.
The newer concrete pavement in color doesn't look nearly as stylish/romantic as those small etched blocks in the b&w movie.
I noticed it's still a one-way street going in the same traffic direction.
That new tree overhanging the sidewalk blocks the view of that beautiful building at the corner they used as a backdrop in the movie, but when you did get to the corner, the building and its trees seemed relatively unchanged.
(I need to get back to Paris, if only to take my french-heritage Mom there before it's too late. There's just been so much unrest there the past few years, It's made me a little leary.)
Thanks for the video and editing effort.

The are some streets still like that in central Paris, but unfortunately they changed this street

Yeah but they unfortunately built an ugly cubed shaped building with metal shutters at the end of the street.

This worried me at first, because this was my first international trip but I did not notice any unrest at all. I did run into the Yellowvests in Normandy, but they were more of protesters and not rioters. Parisians were friendly and food was great.

Interesting watch, thanks.
I wanted to run through the Louvre (Band a Part) in the 90's but realized I had spent two hours in line just trying to get in.

Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed seeing the movie clip, and your videos.
Looks like they only sell hatchback versions of cars there. Is that area mostly residential above the ground floor?

Spoiler warning

Majority of buildings had either offices or apartments above the ground level. And there were tons of hatchbacks all around Paris.
