I have to ask if DC is trying to just light money on fire....

Suicide Squad 2 is also expected to shoot next year, and seems like a good movie for The Joker to be a part of.

Between the DC film universe and Star Wars it's things like this that make me thank god every day for Kevin Feigei. Rarely do you have ONE person who could really be the only person possible for the job. An excellent producer with vision, patience, and encyclopedic knowledge of the product and how to portray it in a way that is cohesive and resonates with the viewer. We don't deserve him but I'm glad he does what he does.

In 20 years people will drown in a watered down Marvel Universe and then they'll see The Watchmen and a peace will overtake them.

That’s not peace. That’s boredom.

This is what happens when a movie studio owning a comic company goes wrong.
WB’s track record with DC properties is fairly poor. You have Christopher Nolan and a few on the high end. You have the various Superman abominations, Batman And Robin, and Suicide Squad on the other.
The DC Animated Universe has gotten most of their adaptations right, including two Suicide Squad stories (Assault On Arkham, Hell To Pay).
Of course, the animated crew doesn’t have to deal with all the bullshite that goes with stars like Will Smith or producers who want to tweak things.

I'm one of the biggest DC defenders here, but WTF? Suicide Squad was an embarrassing piece of garbage. An absolute pile of shite. How can you frick the Joker up? But, Leto did.

I just hope they learned from the mistakes of last time.
It’s a Dirty Dozen / Mission Impossible style story with a lot of snark.
Don’t feel too wedded to any characters outside of Waller, Deadshot, Boomerang, and Harley. Not even Rick Flag.
