And I don't even watch Spike or reality TV.

I came across it one night while I was channel surfing and now I find myself looking for it.

Anyone else watch this show?

I watch that and Restaurant Impossible. I worked in restaurants for too many years and it seems like I know more than some of these owners.

I love that show. It's usually gold. You realize how dumb some people who own bars are.
Last week's was a great episode. This crazy Israeli guy in Denver had this bar and was giving away all kinds of booze. He would stand out on the sidewalk and shout at passers by, trying to get them to come in. He wanted to attract college students, but the place was full of homeless looking dudes who were drinking $1 Buds until they passed out. Then he almost got in a fight with Jon Taffer and the chef who was brought in to turn around the kitchen. They fixed the place at the end, but I was convinced it would end with some ex-Bronco buying the place for a song and putting a Hooters in there.

"Mr. Fatboy, you were in charge of the kitchen!"

Taffer- "You disrespectful son of a bitch!"

I loved how the dude was popping open multiple bottles of Champagne the night before and giving away drinks to everyone, then he started throwing dishes when he found out how much booze was being poured and not charged for. He was accusing the bartenders of stealing from him when he probably gave away most of that liquor.

I love this show. Re the Israeli, I've lived around these people all my life and they are all hotheads. Good people but are aggressive as shite. No surprise with the last show.

Love this show even though its so fake....

I've missed the past 2 episodes because I've chosen to watch Vikings instead.

Spike usually runs a marathon on Sundays, so I'm sure I will be able to catch the last two weeks in 3 days.

Bar science= 15k in renovations, making people that work there give a shite and oh wow we are doing better business.

Would love to see him go to a successful bar ms use his bar science to increase profit.

If you google some of the bars on the show, you'll see how fabricated a lot of the show is. The episode with the Austin hipster bar, The Brixton, in particular. They had nothing but great reviews going back to way before the show was made.

One thing that I don't think is fake on the show, though, is how unbelievably shitty most of the bartenders are. Most of them literally can't do anything but pour a shot and open a beer.

The Brixton was the one bar that I would actually want to go to. shite, if I was 10 years younger, living in Austin and I heard there was a bar named after a Clash song, I would be a regular there.
