I'm asking this here, because I couldn't find the answer elsewhere online- if I opted for the black friday deal, but wanted hulu ad-free, is there a BF deal for that- or does that nullify the deal altogether and it's the same as what I am paying now?

I looked for a BF ad free deal and haven’t been able to find one. I already have Hulu w/ ads through Verizon and really want to get back to ad free which I had for years. If I find something I’ll post here.

So just to clarify:

My current Hulu plan is through my email and I used the black friday deal in the past.

If I sign up for a new black friday deal, and type in my gmail with an extra "." in it, it will allow me to create that account? And it won't recognize my credit card info and not allow me to?

I pay for the no ads plan but I'm going to talk to the wife about downgrading.

I feel like paying for no ads after starting a rewatch of 24 last night. They ran at least two ads, sometimes three, every 10 minutes. It was worse than watching a regular TV station with ads. I watched both Fargo episodes on FX afterwards. The commercials on FX didn't seem as intrusive.

I have long heard the Roku was the better device, but the Firestick has the better remote by a mile... I control my TV and AV receiver with it too.

I disagree and find Roku to be much superior, voice commands work well and flawlessly controls TV/AV receiver as well. I found Firesticks to have poor longevity as well.

Just wanted to tell everyone that I did the email trick I learned on here and it worked perfectly.

1. Cancelled original subscription
2. Signed up with the black friday deal, adding a period into the first half of my gmail email
(normal email = Indytiger@gmail.com, I changed it to Indy.tiger@gmail.com)

Worked like a charm. Thanks folks.
