How long should a torrent normally take to download?

Everytime I have tried to download one, I get an estimated time of completion at like 23 days.
Nothing else takes nearly that long. I've got Comcast Blast 20mps service.

I wonder if thieves bitch about the gas mileage when they steal a car.

depends on the number of seeds, size of the file and your actual dl speed. be sure to turn off your uploads too, that shite gets you in trouble and kills bandwidth

i don't torrent, i prefer finding direct links instead.
but yeah it truly depends on the number of seeders i believe for the most part.
i think if it's a pretty good number of seeders it should take you around 1 hour to download a regular movie (700 mb - 1 gb) now a blue ray or something is going to be about triple the size or more and will take that much more time..

Depends on seeders/leechers
Just set the priority to "high" and don't have anything else downloading to optimize the speed

it's not illegal, just frowned upon. just like masturbating on an airplane.

I bet you they would though if they stole a lemon. Nobody wants to steal a clunker. C'mon SG.

I usually get about 2 MB/s for torrents with plenty of seeders so it normally takes me about 8 minutes to download one gigabyte of data.
eta: Blu-rays compressed to 750 MBs usually take about 6 minutes to download.

an average song generally takes me about twenty seconds
an album - 3-5 minutes
a movie - varies a lot based on the above factors but popular movies DL in about ten minutes
