Travolta and Cage with the worst acting I’ve ever seen

On the contrary, I thought both of them captured each other’s personality almost to perfection. I thinks it’s a great movie from the acting alone.

This. Or 97% at worst.

As I recall, RT isn't about whether a film is great or not, it's about whether it's worth a watch.

You have a film with John Travolta and Nicholas Cage acting like themselves, and then acting like each other. Watching Cage do Travolta, and vice versa, is worth a watch. Totally outside of anything else in the film.

Face Off and Con Air are terrible movies. Nicholas Cage was great in two movies, Leaving Las Vegas and Raising Arizona.

You're right, but Con Air is a terrible movie in an entertaining way - at least to me. Face Off (obviously this thread proves it has fans) is terrible, but not in any way entertaining to me.

Partially true, I think he was also great in Adaptation and almost great in Honeymoon in Vegas. While he was terrible in Con Air, again, it worked as did the rest of the terrible movie - I consider it a homage to Ed Wood - it's the kind of sincerely bad movie he would have made in the modern era.

Just watched it for the first time in a decade. Worth the 92% rating.

The fact that Cage and Travolta get through their lines with a straight face puts their performances in Oscar-worthy levels.

Face Off is completely ridiculous and completely awesome.

Travolta is meant for the villain role in all his movies. Plays it very well.

The Rock is actually a good action movie that has held up very well over time. Love that movie.
