Earlier he was talking to Barney about what tie he should wear as he is about to get married. Tie turns into a metaphor for if Barney really wanted to marry the person he is about to marry. Lily comes in and says the bride wants to see you. That ended an episode. It picked up there tonight and the bride was Robyn. It's Barney's wedding.
He never says he meets his wife at Barney's wedding. Just that he meet her at a wedding. Which he did with Victoria.

He also said the mother lived with Rachel Bilson and was in the class he mistakenly taught that one day. Those don't fit with Victoria, unless they pull some mental gymnastics and retcon her into those places.
If they do that, I'll lose what little respect I have left for their writers.

The other wedding where Ted claimed to meet his wife, I vaguely remember them sitting outside on a bench (could be wrong)
At the wedding tonight, they made it a point to show that it was raining outside the church
Them showing the rain was no accident, it has to be significant

Didn't he know Victoria before he started teaching? She would have definitely said something by now if she was in the class.

Because at the wedding they were sitting outside for, they had to hurry inside because of the rain. And probably has something to do with the umbrella next season.

It was raining the time before when they show Barney's wedding. Ted and Marshall are sitting outside. Ted is peeling a beer label, ans Marshall asks him if he is nervous. Then it starts to rain and they run inside.

For a show that used to draw comparisons to LOST for it's attention to continuity detail, they've really done a shitty job of planning the story lines.
This whole season has been disappointing, save for a couple episodes that actually made me angry.

They may still mindfrick us and tie it all together, but they will likely lose some viewers before it happens

It really seems like they scaled back on humor this season to make huge steps in development. As it is, they made none, save Marshall and Lily's baby. At this point, I'm a little surprised the writers didn't write in a miscarriage.

Im all for the double wedding idea if it means Barney and Robin arent together
But what I think what happens is Ted mets his wife at Barney wedding to Quinn (the one that it rains, possibly a bad sign for the wedding) they dont get married, then the Barney Robin thing is reopened (
