How great of a future does Daisy Ridley have? Wow.

She was really great. I predict big things for her apart from the Star Wars movies. Looking forward to seeing her career develop.

If tiger droppings existed in 1977 how many "how great of a future does Mark Hamil have?" Threads would there be?

Yeah, she absolutely nailed it. I was really taken aback how much I liked her character. Rey will go down as one of the greatest heroines ever, and if they can keep it up maybe heroes when this is all said and done. Ridley will be a star that's for certain.

Hayden Christensen and Jake Lloyd's careers have been going strong, no reason to think Daisy Ridley and John Boyega won't have good careers.

Natalie Portman and Ewan Mc's have been pretty good. If you're a good actor/actress you'll be successful. Hayden and Jake, not so much.

For this movie to be as GREAT as it is being perceived, she needed to have an out of this world (no pun intended) performance and she simply nailed it.

I was around in 1977 and no one was really blown away by the performances. It was the movie that excited everyone. Harrison Ford didn't become a big star until after Empire Strikes Back. Hamill immediately followed New Hope with Corvette Summer. If anything, he exceeded the expectations of what folks had of him back then.

While I agree that their pre-established careers helped McGregor and Portman escape unscathed from the prequels, you can't compare Ridley and Boyega to Lloyd and Christiansen. You can't simply because unlike Lloyd and Christiansen, who received MASSIVE negative criticism for their performances of Anakin Skywalker, Ridley and Boyega's performances of Rey and Finn have gotten quite a lot of deserved praise. This isn't to say that they are shoe-ins for long and diverse careers, just that you can't compare them to actors who aren't beloved additions to the Star Wars series.

She definitely carried the movie
Her character was well written. The female lead is often weak or sexual or in need of the male characters. She was just badass without over-compensating.
