No, I get it, and I've defended the show in the past. I neither love it nor hate it. It has it's funny moments, and I think it's largely well-acted and has a good cast. But I also understand where those who hate the show are coming from. It's not a "true nerd" show like Community is.
It clearly has a non-nerd writing staff who has a conception of what nerds are like. I don't mind that much because it's not a documentary.

Having said all that. I don't like the direction the show is heading. I liked it much better when the focus was on Sheldon, Leonard and Penny. And Walowitz and Raj were more ancillary. Amy is gross and Bernadette is a bitch.

Mayim Bialik is a super nerd in real life. She breastfed her kid until he was five. Has a Phd in neuroscience. And wrote a book about some kind of strange family bonding, which includes having your kids sleep with you every night. (so much for sex)
