What would make it even worse for Brody is if he commits the act against the VP's son with something remote, like a car bomb, and he injures or kills his daughter that he did not know was with VP's son.

That would be pretty cool, although I'm not sure he'd be crazy enough to risk that knowing his daughter is dating him.

However, does he even know they are dating at this point? Probably not since he is always gone killing bomb makers and doing his political junk.

I still think it will be a school attack (ala Isa), but that might be too obvious.

I think Brody getting in a position to blow up the VPs son is a pretty big stretch but it's an interesting idea.

I think it's much more likely she is collateral damage from an attack Nazir plans.

I would be shocked if this season ended with no attack.

Just watched the episode last night.

Gotta say, I didn't see Brody being taken in so early. Hell, I didn't even expect Sault to tell Estes. Love this show.

And yeah, Brody's daughter is a goner. Way too much time invested in her.

I might have thrown the remote at the TV if Estes would have said some shite like "Wow, we can't show this to anymore - let's throw this under the rug for now." Or if Estes would take the chip and destroy it or something

I was definitely worried something like that was going to happen.

Homeland has done a great job at figuring out what viewers DO NOT want to see happen and doing the opposite. I really haven't been disappointed with any of the decisions the show has taken.

Yeah me neither, although some of the directions have been silly, like the Brody warning text to Nasir when he was in sniper scope (lame).

I'm interested to see the other plot lines unfold.

We all agree that the daughter is about to be destroyed.

What about the Wife/Mike/Brody/Carrie love rhombus?

Pretty sure that Carrie and Brody will resume their romance at some point, the producers have hinted at their chemistry being undeniable and that story will continue to be developed. Jess and Mike have come close to hooking up again, especially after Mike found out Brody cheated on her.

The mole?

Well the mole is still out there, and I'm not sure what direction the show will take us down that path to his/her discovery. The producers might not even know where they want to take it yet.

Mike/Drunk Soldier Lauder (sp?)Investigation

Lauder is essentially a poor-man's Carrie - he knows something is going on but his "handicap" keeps him from being taken seriously. He might play a role in outing Brody to the non-CIA world most likely, but will he die before the truth is out there? Mike is now "looking into Brody" and thinks he works with the CIA. Brody didn't before but he might soon.

Mike?

He kind of seems sketchy to me. We don't really know anything about him. Why did his 1st wife leave him? The producers have directed us to see a likeable family care-taker, but does he have a dark side? Maybe he's just there to play off Jess and the romance angle... IDK. I think he could be hiding something.

New Guy (Peter Quinn)

This clown comes out of nowhere. No one has ever heard of him, but he comes in guns-a-blazin' and people seem to take him seriously. Carrie questioned that she hadn't seen him once in 10 years. Estes without hesitation injects him into the situation, and we have learned throughout the show that Estes is trying to advance his career and is tied closely to the less-than-moral Veep.

Why does everyone think there is a mole?

Because there is.

Nazir is getting his info from somebody besides Brodie. How else would the reporter have Estes' safe combination, etc...

... and they never confirmed the razorblade...

Someone is inside but no one seems to be looking for him/her, it almost seems like an afterthought arc but it's still out there

Well obviously it might be a while before they get back on track

Here's a blurb from a producer interview:

quote:

Wow. Given everything that's happened between each them--accusations, backstabs, letdowns--you're definitely going back to the love story?

quote:

For us, sitting in the writers' room, the love story is the most profound and interesting part of this whole thing. Even at the end of the finale when Brody had to banish Carrie from his life, there was a sense that he was sending away the only other person in the world who really knows him and who he is, and that's tragic for him.

That's why I am wondering. At this point, I thought it was assumed that the razorblade was given to the terrorist by Brody, given that he passed the lie detector, but lied about cheating on his wife.

The combination to the safe makes sense. I would hope that the story wouldn't have that big of a plot hole.

Also...when Carrie met with that terrorists wife, I think in Beirut, and she gave them info on the Nazir meeting, did anyone notice her hair changing color in that episode? She went over there as a brunette, and then when she freaked out on top of the roof with Saul, her hair was blonde again.

True he beat the test, but he did have to go through a metal detector to get into the room to begin with.

Here's another quote from the interview:

quote:

One last question: Who gave Brody's former guard the razor blade in the interrogation room?

I'm going to leave that question open because we actually haven't exactly determined that for ourselves. There is clearly somebody inside the United States government who is on the Nazir payroll. But whether or not the razor blade itself was passed by that person is one we're going to keep to ourselves.

They implied there was time for her to shower the color out of her hair.

Well unless the mole is Estes (which is possible) I'm not sure how anyone would know the combo to the safe... IMO, this is the strongest argument for estes being the mole. I have no idea how the reporter would know what the combo was unless estes was involved.

Might depend on Brody getting turned back

Anyone know if filming for Season 2 is already wrapped? I'm sure they are but just wondering if they waited to shoot the whole season before knowing whether they will get a third season.
