While the Shadow Man (Dr. Facilier) may not be one of the greatest Disney Villains, he's pretty damn good, as well as his introduction song.

If you never watch the film yet are a fan of the Disney Villain song I suggest you youtube it.

I got Friends on the Other Side.

Yeah. He's really the only pulling point in this movie... well that and I feel bad that classic animation is dead and that Disney kinda guilts me into liking it. The villain is great, an all time Disney classic, but really no company or even director makes great villains like Disney does. They're experts at it and probably the thing their brothers at Pixar aren't really that good at (Lotso and Syndrome being exceptions). So yeah the Witch Doctor alone is worth seeing it, but whenever he's not on screen, you definitely miss him.

Watching for the first time on Disney Channel. Wow! This is a terrible movie.

Why?

I liked it...much better than I thought it would be. It dragged in parts, but I loved the whole swamp storyline.

I mean that's what Disney does.

My wife and I really enjoyed it. Like others have said I miss the hand drawn movies and that may be a big part as to why I enjoyed it so much. I also enjoyed the swamp and New Orleans feel to it. (Even though its in steroids.)

I thought Hercules was decent with a great villian performance by James Woods.

But nostalgia aside it really isn't one of Disney's hits.

Go to Disney World and tell me how many Hercules inspired rides, characters, merchandise etc you see. It's not a lot.

I enjoyed it. It was no Aladdin or Lion King, but it was fun to watch.

Maybe I'm a bit too old to truly appreciate it, but I thought Hercules was God awful. I put it with lilo and stitch, mulan, Pocahontas, and hunchback as the worst Disney movies ever made.
