I wish they'd make a movie about the Titanic

I thought Napolean was covered pretty accurately in Bill & Ted.

For real though, I'd like to see something based on the Battle of New Orleans.

Kubrick's script for his Napoleon movie is floating around online and is supposedly awesome.

Very entertaining (and relatively accurate) movie about Jean Lafitte, Jackson, and the battle:

I'd like to see the life story of Marie Laveau. Starting with a young hot Marie. I'm surprised this hasn't happened, it seems a such an apt vehicle for Hollywood politics.

Charlton Heston as Andrew Jackson, Yul Brenner as Jean Lafitte

Shocked no one has ever tried to film Masters of Rome. Would be a killer HBO series.

Is my sarcasm meter broken?

HBO bought the rights to MoR and made Rome. It was great on its own but hardly recognizable after they started so far toward the end and sexed it up for premium.

But McCullough's Sulla would have been the shite on HBO.

And was it Theodora who was a child prostitute and rose to Byzantine Empress?

Heston is pretty good as Jackson but the original B&W version directed by Cecil B. DeMille (the remake was directed by Anthony Quinn!) is much better

Yeah but any movie about her will surely center more on Justinian.
