I think that is the most probable. Scooter, the captain, or a complete wildcard are also possibilities.

Maybe I imagined it, but didn't she get in the back seat? It has to either be Ranjeet or The Captain because it would be really weird if she got in the backseat and there wasn't a professional driver in the front.

Agreed. I didn't think it was Ranjeet for two reasons:
1. I didn't think it was a limo (maybe i just wasn't paying close enough attention)
2. I figure they would have shown him if it was Ranjeet.

I thought this episode was great. Ties up lots of loose ends and running gags in creative ways and Marshall finally throws SF in Lily's face.
Also like the reveal of kids' names. Maybe Penny's middle name is Leia

My money's on it being the Captain picking her up.
Makes more sense when thinking about the whole reason for the fight was the Rome trip for him vs. Marshall's judgeship.
So either its the Captain or her dad.

I could see the Captain going into some spiel about how all of this art means nothing to him and he would trade it all back in just to be with whats-her-name again. Or Ranjeet will talk about how he had some other dream life, but wouldn't trade any of it in and give up his life with his wife and kids (who I believe he has talked about in the past).
Either way, Lilly's reaction was just so shitty. Her and Marshall pride themselves on their ability to fight and stay cool, but she runs away at the first sign of losing the argument. She is the worst.
It was almost like the writers read the message boards and decided that not only will they finally have Marshall man up, but they will answer some of the most interesting things about Barney to get people to ease up on critiquing the show.
Either way, Lilly's reaction was just so shitty. Her and Marshall pride themselves on their ability to fight and stay cool, but she runs away at the first sign of losing the argument. She is the worst.

Definitely. She went from coolest TV wife to whore of Babylon all in one episode/season for me.

That whole sequence with Barney was awesome. And the best part was his job and how it all tied together with the past. Best episode in a long, long time.
