That movie reeks of awesomeness...
Neil McCauley is one of the coolest movie characters in history.

The meeting between Robert De Niro and Al Pacino over coffee was shot at Kate Mantilini on Wilshire Blvd. in Beverly Hills. The L.A. mainstay is a noted top spot for a stylish late supper. The restaurant now has "heat" spelled in neon above the door and a large poster of the actors in the now famous scene. Diners may request the very table featured in the scene, table #71, which wait staff are familiar with as "The Table", and are happy to seat De Niro Pacino fans at their famous meeting place.

One of the best Jeremy Piven movies ever made.

sucks, that was plain crap, all the cops are such bad shots on 4-5 dudes who stay essentially in the same place doing 180's. Not to mention the out running and out shooting the cops while carrying dead weight?
2 out of 10

Excluding the dead weight part, I guess you didn't see the North Los Angeles shootout from the 90's
Robbers got the idea from the movie and went on for 44 min, if I recall, before they were taken down.

got the idea that they wouldn't be able to do that without full body protection? and did they not see that the guys getting killed/caught? might explain why ya'll liked the same movie some dumb dead criminals did

You'll never get through life if you overanalyze meaningless details in an ACTION scene from a MOVIE.

It's not that, it's always just the cheap way out. The criminals go through all these great lengths to organize and plan such a great and perfect heist...and it ends sloppily with 100,000 rounds being let loose in some final fight scene where everyone dies and somehow our hero usually prevails.
tired, over done, and cheap.
I especially love it when it was all done to save one life, and 100 people end up dead.

best shootout!!
BTW, did ya'll not get that the Harlem nights shootout is more realistic than the Heat shootout?
eddie behind bricks then gets 3 clean shots off....not bad for a comedy

I've watched this movie so many times.. Love it, still watch it at least 5-6 times every month maybe more.
Wayne Groh is the best... Guy is a f'ing savage/creep
Tom Sizemore is great in this movie.
The shootout seen = Greatness, walked out the bank with millions and not a single person outside realizing what is going on... God I love this movie.
And of course,
"Do not have any attachments, do not have anything in your life you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you spot the heat around the corner." - Neil McCauley (De Niro)

They did not have head gear and if you watch the whole video, they were not hit that many times even with the gear. Do you realize how difficult it is to make a kill shot from 25+ yrds with a pistol?

frick, your posts are becoming as sad as Rex's... Every single one of your posts lately has been nothing but negativity and low blows at individuals
