Is anyone having issues with the HBO Max app this evening (we have a Fire TV)? Was just priming to do a True Detective Season 1 rewatch and it crapped out mid episode. Now getting the “Oops! Something Went Wrong” error.

I get that on Roku all the time. Don’t know what their problem is.

I initially thought HBO was still playing hardball with Roku to get them to come up on their licensing fees in exchange for debugging their app, but if it is happening on Amazon Fire, I don’t know what the problem is.

I asked this about a month ago on here and every reply was that no one was having any issues. Mine has gotten better but for awhile it was terrible. Buffering every 2 minutes. I’m using the app on my smart TV.

I have Xfinity and mainly watch it on two tv's. Upstairs I've yet to have any issues. Downstairs it has happened many times. Seems to be a problem with the subtitles though. It only happens when I have them on and the audio cuts out before it crashes every time.

Works fine with subtitles off. Usually works okay with them on the second time but not always.

Also the subtitles often get too far ahead of the movie/show.

Probably still in beta and will be fixed soon.

I have a solid internet connection, but the hbomax app buffers constantly using the fire tv cube. All I have to do is hit the back button and restart and it picks up where it started buffering. But it is a major pita if watching a movie or binging a series. Seems like a server issue on their end.
