It's on SYFY or whatever this weekend. To me the two most moving or powerful scenes are:

Harry and Slughorn in Hagrid's hut, when Harry is trying to convince Slughorn to give up his true memory. Most intense moment in the books or movies, and the Slughorn actor did a great job of showing his fear and embarassment at what happened with Riddle;

At beginning of DH 2, when Hermione erases her parent's memory of her. Jesus Christ. She's an only child, obviously the apple of their eye, yet she has the strength at 16 or 17 to wipe all that way from them, and become basically an orphan, in order to save the wizarding world. It's all of 20 seconds, but gives me goosebumps every time.

Cedric's father weeping over his body and screaming out "My boy!" in anguish as everyone slowly realizes what has happened is the one that hit me the hardest.

The two times Harry saw Snape's memories causing him to realize his father was an a-hole bully towards Snape as a kid and Snape's love for Lily fueled both rebellion against Voldemort and his love/hate relationship with Harry was also very effective.

Definitely the deaths. Seeing Harry (and others) response to Sirius and Dumbledore’s deaths were heartbreaking.

Snape’s Death and subsequent memories being seen by Harry were a favorite in the book and movie. It was debated for years whose side he was on and I was always firmly on the side that his villainy was too heavy handed to not be a good guy in the end so that vindication was great but incredibly sad. I like Harry’s comments to his son years later that Snape was the bravest man he ever knew.

I also LOVE the part where Snape is addressing everyone in the Great Hall, Harry steps out from the crown and all hell breaks loose. Made Harry seem badass.

The Snape death was a very good scene in the books and movie. Honestly, Harry really was a punk to Snape and never made an effort to offer an olive branch. I cant really ever see a kid who basically was abused and locked in a closet growing up, learning to be such a brat and so abrasive towards authority. To me, that was the most annoying missteps in the writing of Harry's character.

most moving or powerful scenes are:

When parents continue to willingly send their kids to a school where some insane murders occur (Basilisk, Quirrel, Dementors, etc.) year in and year out.

You would think they would eventually stop, but it doesn’t even start being questioned until the Half-Blood Prince

Also as cool as the magic is in that universe, wizards are oblivious to how easy muggle weapons would be effective against them. A gun would easily dispose of any wizard, yet the bad guys insisted on harassing muggles

Deciding to sacrifice himself to end the war and the struggle between himself and Voldemort, not for himself, but for everyone he knows and cares for. After seeing sacrifice after sacrifice. This would encompass the previously mentioned Snape memories, but also a lifetime of witnessing the sacrifice throughout the series.

Snape was on his arse from his first class at Hogwarts. When exactly was Harry to extend an Olive branch to him.

one of my favorite scenes that didn't make it to the movies was in the 6th book when Dumbledore comes to get Harry from the Dursley's. Powerful in that he called them out for treating Harry like shite his entire life and that they had done more damage to Dudley than Harry. Such a bitch slap to them

DHs both packed with such gravity and powerful moments. The battle at the Weasleys and in the fields was intense.

He was, no doubt. Harry never showed Snape the proper respect a student should show a teacher though.

Good ones named already, but Malfoy’s gradual realization that his people were bad and that Harry was good and the shame he carried with it.

The final scene at the train station when they were older hit home more in the book.
