harry should be chasing more tail.

Least realistic part of the books.

They started out as children’s novels my guy.

Either ways, showrunner or writer, does it really matter?

The fact you even have to ask this question (rhetorical or not) just goes to show how dogshit your media literacy skills are when you’re not told what to think by Nerdrotic or whatever dumbass incel YouTube channel you’re always posting

OK, if you think so.

But I didn't start this thread. YOU can't debunk anything I said, just get upset at what you THINK I may have said, which is pretty weird. But that's you, I guess.

Did you watch the posted video? I was replying to that. I've not been keeping up with anything about the show, except that it's under production.

I mean I always took Harry to be an above average looking dude

Not on the Cedric Diggory level but Harry bagged a couple of hotties in the books. Cho went out with Cedric, likely the most handsome guy in the place, and then she made a move for Harry. Then, he nabbed Ginny and I can’t remember what book but Harry was eavesdropping on some Slytherins on the train and even they admitted Ginny was good looking - and that’s with their natural prejudice towards her family so that was pretty hard to admit.

Harry did pretty ok. Ron was the one that got lucky, methinks

The biggest issue with the books is the introduction of the time turner. That element is usually never a good idea for shows/books.

After years of these shows shitting all over the source material and producing terrible projects...can we for once just get one good series where the fans get what they want?

Id be fine with some small story changes but do not race swap characters

They don't need to race swap anyone, the Nazi shitlord JK Rowling already built that in

I think it'd be pretty easy to ignore YA material if you're a professional writer. Besides that, Rowling is an atrocious writer. It was even more obvious in her non-fantasy fiction, A Casual Vacancy. Just awful stuff. Her world caught people's imaginations, but her writing wasn't the reason.

A good analogy is Billy Corgan. Terrible singer, weird lyrics, made some of the best songs of the 90s

To be fair, Emma Watson was way too good looking to be Hermione. Maybe hard to tell your 9 year old actress is gonna become a smokeshow but still.

They also didn't do the character any favors by putting her hair down starting with Chamber of Secrets. She's described as having bushy brown hair in the books, which she had in Sorcerer's Stone. But from the second film onwards, they strayed away from that look she was described as having in the novels.
