It’s fine if you think it’s darker than the first two movies but we’re also not going to sit here and act like 3-7&8 weren’t also just as dark if not even darker.
I saw everything fine in the trailer. I’m not an old arse fricking boomer so I guess my eyesight isn’t that bad yet

You seem upset for some reason? You'll notice not once in my post did I say I couldn't see or that it was too dark. Merely pointing out that there is a trend in how things are filmed now to highlight the character and obscure the background, witht he hope that it adds realism. I merely said I personally don't like it. I think it is overdone.
You'll also notice I have another post complimenting the trailer as it was much better than I was expecting.

I’m just over some of the low bro “criticisms” people are bringing to the topic. If you think it’s shitty, that’s your opinion, but most people I’ve seen react seem to really like it so yeah I’m going to push back on criticisms I think are stupid. Again, the internet isn’t real and people are going to watch the shite out of it. Book lovers are going to love the show and movie watchers are going to say this every season “was this even necessary?”
I just hope it is good. It’s impossible to know from the trailer. But even if it is good, this board will still have people like SEK that bitch about it being woke or not like the source material when the bitch that created it is on fricking set

Agreed. Nick Frost looks who I imagined Hagrid. Robbie Coltrane always sounded like how I imagined Hagrid. But just because Frost’s new Hagrid voice is softer doesn’t matter that much. He looks like Hagrid. Good enough for me.

No shite. But this one instance doesn’t render the entire thing as something not worthy to be watched. Having the mindset like this is just incredibly narrow, stunted and borderline retarded.
If you choose to only look at the one negative, like you usually do, and ignore the other great things about the show and the trailer then just frick off yeah? It’s clearly not for you if you’re going to let that keep you from enjoying it. I’m sure if Rowling was THAT against this casting, it wouldn’t have happened. But considering they look like they’ve nailed the rest of the cast, maybe give them the benefit of the doubt.
HBO is not Disney or Netflix or Prime. They have a pretty fricking good track record.

It's not just ONE bad (completely unnecessary) casting job, but it fundamentally changes the story, the history of Lily and James, how he was treated by others at Hogwarts,
So yes, it does destroy the series. Because it doesn't ADD anything, it only takes away and sets up entirely new problems that didn't exist in the book.
It's not 'narrow minded', and in fact, it's the exact opposite to admit the most obvious of failures of this casting.
