damn, there are some people in here getting real bent out of shape about this shite.
As I mentioned in my post, there were only 2 movies in this list that I haven't seen, and therefore I did not vote.
The problem with this particular tournament theme is that a lot of these movies I haven't seen since I was a kid.
Let's use the The Sword in the Stone/Princess Mononoke shitstorm as an example. I probably haven't seen TSitS since I was 10. I remember loving the shite out of that movie and it got me into reading The Once and Future King in its entirety. So my memory of that movie is very very strong and I voted accordingly. It had much more impact on me than when I saw Mononoke in middle school or so. I only saw it once and didn't care for it too much at the time. I'm sure if I saw it again as an adult, I would have greater appreciation for it and might even vote for it over Sword, but that's not the case.
There are other similar examples in this tournament where I had to vote based on nostalgia and memory over what 30 year old me would think about these movies today.

I really don't care if someone prefers The Sword in the Stone more. Different strokes for different folks. However, calling Princess Mononoke's animation "ugly" is just stupid.

It wasn't specific to princess Mononoke. I'm not saying some anime can look better than others but not every form of art is for everybody.
A lot of picassos art looked like crap. Matisse and Kirchners, who's art is both extremely popular and valuable, half the time their humans are hideous. Matisse in particular with his humans being drawn in straight lines. I dont like that look, which a lot of anime has. It's not stupid, it's me liking something different than you.

Nothing wrong with that. When we do the movies we agree dont suck rankings, I rank what my favorite movies are and they dont have to be critically acclaimed. Is Sandlot an oscar winner with top notch cinematography, no, but I love it and there is nostalgia there so 8 votes for it. Same can go for this, I'm not telling anybody how to vote.
It's just for fun. I love the 1st post has more downvotes than upvotes

Appreciate you taking on this task, but if I could make a recommendation for the rest of the rounds. Put the date/time for when voting closes in the OP for each round?

I watched Tarzan today with my kids. What an underrated animated movie. Great soundtrack and story.

unofficially it looks like American Tale may have Beaten out Toy Story 3.
Sword and the Stone beat PM in a landslide. Yes more people saw Sword.

And it looks like Spirited Away was beaten as well by the Brave Little Toaster. Am I really supposed believe that a semi-functional retard like imjustafatkid has even heard of Spirited Away or Princess Mononoke, nevertheless seen them? I’m willing to bet that 4 out of 5 of the people that voted for their competition has never seen these two masterpieces and are lying about it.
I don’t see how you could possibly defend that The Sword in the Stone is a better movie than Princess Mononoke watching them back to back. The Sword in the Stone isn’t worthy to wipe Princess Mononoke’s arse neverthless being a better film than it. I thoroughly believe that PM’s worst scene is better than TSitS’s best scene.
This poll is fricked, and people have broken the rule. If it went down to the Lion King or Toy Story, ok, but I bet if we put TSitS against almost any other Disney or Pixar movie that it would lose. Bunch of liars in this thread. Seriously, this movie is a masterpiece, and shame on everyone who voted against it that hadn’t seen it.
But I guess Merlin washing dishes and 80% filler is better than this masterpiece. To this thread:

i need to go back to the OP and read the rules again to see where it said that the requirements for this poll was that we had to watch each movie back to back in order to develop a current opinion on each matchup
