If tweet fails to load, click here. Some great clips from the original 90s series with the music videos.
“Zip him back up. He sucks.”

When Green Day first came out, they said "why is he trying to sound British? He's from Boston!"

I think the best one is when they're watching a live episode of cops and they're the ones who were getting raided.
Also, the one on white privilege is super funny.

The episode where they work in a call center was great
Every phone call beavis just says “i understand your frustration” over and over again.

I have to admit that I wasnt a big fan of the show when it came out.......
Until I saw the 1st movie. I laughed so much and then went back and watched the tv show.

I loved Beavis and Butthead. I remember when they first came on, there was all this pearl clutching by adults saying how horrible of a show it was and that it shouldn't be on the air. It is extremely tame compared to anything on television these days.

conversely, thirty years from now, someone will be saying how tame the stuff back in 2026 was compared the current stuff, and you'll be called the pearl clutcher. so maybe we should give our parents a break for looking out for the culture in 1994.

It was hilarious when The Simpsons and Married with Children aired back to back and the thumpers were losing their shite.

B&B was absolutely huge among my friends in HS. It was just so stupid and hilarious.
I will say too, the new iteration of it that airs on Comedy Central is still actually pretty good (the one thing that bothers me about it is that Judge apparently uses a single Beavis laugh sound bite over and over with almost literally every single line spoken by Beavis...it is very distracting to me because it's just the same little Beavis laugh over and over - and over).
And what's weird is that I rarely find B&B laugh out loud funny, but it just makes me chuckle almost constantly any time I watch it. It's just one of those shows that always makes me laugh for whatever reason.

I haven’t watched the new iteration. I may need to check it out, I’m a pretty big fan of Judge.
I’m actually doing a rewatch of Silicon Valley. I know it has a dip in the middle, but still a funny show.
So....how fast do you think you could jerk off every guy in this room?

I watched the 2011 mtv reboot. It was still good but there’s nothing like the og with the music videos.

I finally went back and finished that one about a year and a half ago or so. I had watched maybe half or 2/3 of it before stopping initially. I enjoyed it. It just got repetitive for me the first go round I think.

quote:Yeah, it gets caught in a loop for the narrative. Struggle, about to reach greatness, Richard does some stupid and messes it up, rinse and repeat. But the characters are pretty funny, Jian-Yang, Erlich, Gilfoyle, et al.
