well no shite.
Hey you're the one wondering why they're not in the episode. I'm just telling you and with the introduction of even more characters there's a possibility it'll get stretched even more thin in the future.
I enjoyed the episode even without those characters. Tyrion was great. Arya's storyline is translating really well.

I'm not wondering why. I know why. I said WTF because I don't appreciate why.

So you don't appreciate that they're not just focusing on one or two characters but instead spreading it out in order to flush out all their stories?
To each his own I suppose. I rather my episodes not be so choppy that they try to cover too many characters in one episode in an effort to cram them all in.

I love all the jumping around. Not focusing on any one character every episode is the way it should be. I hope they don't make any one character the "main" of the story, since there really isn't one.

there's no main character, but you can't fit every character into every episode and still give the characters the attention they need

It would just be nice if we could get at least one update on Dany every episode, even if it is less than one minute. Obviously to progress the storyline forward, multiple angles and characters have to have a few minutes of screentime. Obviously. It wouldn't be very interesting if the story was only about one person. But I think that Dany is a very important character and it wouldn't hurt to cut out .30 seconds of nudity to just at least show what dany is doing. That's all I'm saying.

Remember: Dany's stuck in the middle of the desert waiting for her scouts to show back up.

I mean the Renly/Loras/Margaery thing literally served no purpose and could have been completely excluded and replaced w a dany viewpoint

Well then she can show us how to train a dragon while she waits

The Renly/Margaery thing sets up something much later on. The Renly/Loras thing could have been omitted.

Except in that 30 seconds you can't advance her story. Which is my point. It can't be chopped up that much in order to progress the story. She can't be in every episode if the story as a whole needs to progress.
The books were written in POV form but with events occurring concurrently in order to reach a similar points in the storyline where those characters intertwine. Only certain stories can be pushed up.

If I was the Greyjoys, I would not want to take Winterfell. I'd rather a castle somewhere warmer and not so grey/bleek.

Arya is so wise beyond her years. What a great episode. Tyrion making fools of King's Landings best power brokers. Love it.

All about revenge. Not about a summer getaway.

Ditto. I think it would be stupid for anyone to fight for it. Let Robb be the kind of the north and be his ally for protection from the shite north of the wall.
And for Arya, I sort of missed what she said at the end. I heard her mention the helmet, but did she say that the curly haired blonde kid was the guy they were looking for? If that's the case, I guess they didn't know that all the potential heirs had dark hair.

Two things:
1. Balon is pissed because Ned beat him during his rebellion. He wants revenge.
2. The Iron Islands follow the Drowned God. Grey and bleak are good things to them.

Looks like my suspicions were right in that Robb would reach out to one of the others going after the throne for a joint attack on Joffrey.
reached out to Renly and Grayjoys.......
