Mance

This is the literacy thread, we're not convinced Mance is dead.

So do you think Sam is in Oldtown sending the white raven to Winterfell?

It was Lord of Bones glamoured as Mance...and technically, that was Mel's kill.

If anyone killed Mance it was Ramsey....

If...

Nah, Sam wouldn't have the authority to send the white raven. It's the senior Maesters at the citadel sending the white ravens.

I kinda laugh thinking about the night's watchmen and wildlings dragging themselves half dead and tired back to Castle Black to tell everyone about the White Walkers and then a white raven shows up and says "hey by the way winter is here."

He said in the making of the episode that he actually slugged Iwan Rheon a couple times by accident.

This has been my theory of the most logical to end up with it, so I support this.

I'm just checking into this thread, but can we assume that three northern families are now extinct?

Boltons are obvious.

Umber lost his carotid artery to cannibalistic experimentation.

Karstark - gotta be dead, or soon to die.

I can add one more nitpicky plot hole to the episode. Why in the frick is there a random Mormant shield on the ground in winterfell when it was stormed by A few archers,Jon, Wun Wun, and Tormund. There is no reason for it to be there the battle happened leagues away.

I am still pissed about the Umbers turning on the Starks int he show. I don't give two fricks about the Karstarks but the Umbers are badass and frick them in the show. Sons a coonts.

I just figured someone picked it up at random and ran back to Winterfell with it, whether it was a Bolton or otherwise. Not a big thing

They don't make mention of them having any sons in the books I don't think.
