You've been pretty damned adamant about it not happening. Looks like you are probably right, unless they drop the boom and announce a 2-hour finale.

That episode title could be any thing. Like Robin's Giant attacking snow Winterfell.

Ummm, no. The Rains of Castamere title cannot mean just anything.
The summary for Ep9 also says:
quote:
Synopsis: Robb presents himself to Walder Frey, and Edmure meets his bride. Jon faces his harshest test yet. Bran discovers a new gift. Daario and Jorah debate how to take Yunkai. House Frey joins with House Tully.
quote:
Bran discovers a new gift.
I also like how they phrase this given that Bran is located in The New Gift portion of the North, which was given to the NW by Brandon Stark (Bran the Builder).

If they managed to film this event without a single photo leaking or one of the hundred extras that needed to be cast leaking details then it may be the most filmed screen in the history of television
How will this season end then? The red wedding will be the 9 episode, what will the finale be about?
If the PW doesn't happen this season, the finale will be a huge letdown.

The same way every season ends, Dany showing how awesome her dragons and army are giving everyone hope she will be in westeroes soon and take the throne

Could be a huge letdown. Looks like the only interesting thing in the episode guide is Tyrion/Joff. Joff is gonna cut that big book in half

Synopsis: Joffrey challenges Tywin. Bran tells a ghost story. In Dragonstone, mercy comes from strange quarters. Dany waits to see if she is a conqueror or a liberator.
CE Tiger, just a note. That episode synopsis is shorter than any other. Could they be deliberately leaving something out? Hard to imagine they just end the season with Dany sitting on her arse, and a Davos/Stannis scene. There has to be more, IMO.

I think someone pointed out in one of the other episode threads, they've left big stuff out of the synopsis before this season (I can't remember exactly what but someone posted an example).
I could definitely see them not putting much in the synopsis.

wtf? frick people who try to spoil intentionally.
I just don't get how every reader's post, even the ones that had nothing to do with the books are deleted in that thread.
I demand more threads that disallow opposing parties.

Umm, isn't that confirmation? I can't imagine that Joffrey wouldn't be killed 10 minutes after that. It doesn't need to be as long, with the ceremony only taking 30 seconds, and then skipping most the courses, singers, and entertainment. If Joffrey cutting the book in half is already for sure happening, I'll bet the Purple Wedding is coming up.

It's not about the episode synopsis it's about the fact that there is no reason to rush such an awesome story arc. How will sansa escape? She's not the brightest little bird that will know to climb down a mountain and board a ship. They are going to want to give us a few episodes to deal with aftermath of the red wedding. Even in the book there were several hundred pages between the events.

The wedding is on his nameday right? I cannot remember and I am only half way through my re-read.
To be clear, I am not saying that he will cut the book in half in that episode. I just wonder what will happen. What is the Joff/Tywin challenge they mention?
On a side note, it is kind of cool that each week I read basically exactly in line with where the show is.

PW will be the kickoff to season 4.
A lot happenes between the two weddings.
Sansa will marry Tryion next episode, and then the next will have the RW, then the Dany taking Yunkai episode.
Then, I would suspect that we see the PW in the second episode of the fourth season, maybe even the premiere.
\There is dialogue about the RW between the Lannisters that needs to happen as well.

They can pick up all of the story of what happens after Joff's death in Ep1 of next season (ie Tyrion gets thrown in the Dungeon, Sansa escapes, etc.)

i'd bet its Joff saying that Loras will not marry his mother and that he's putting him on the Kingsguard

Yup plus we need tywin melting down Ice to reforge the 2 new valyrian steel sword. Joff makes it to episode 3 in my opinion

Tywin decides to be merciful to stark supporters and joffrey wants them dead.
Joffrey then calls out Tywin a coward for his role in roberts rebellion

Ahhh, yes.
When I really think about it, I have to agree that we will not see the PW this season. Kind of sucks. I was hoping to see the RW and PW in one season, and then Tywin not shitting gold in Ep 2 or 3 of S4.

How does Locke not take Roose's sending Jaime back to Tywin as a sign to run like hell?

Well doesn't he use the Valryian sword his father gave him to chop the book his uncle gave him?
