What movie is this from? I know it's something I've seen, just a long time ago.

The Stand
it was a miniseries based off a king novel

Back on point, can we discuss the possible meaning of the episode title?
The story Cersei told last week to Margaery was about the REYNES of Castamere.
This episode is titled the RAINS of Castamere.
It is also a song. Bronn sang it in the bar before the blackwater in S2.

Wait, so is the song titled "Rains of Castamere" or "Reynes of Castamere"?
Posted on 6/2/13 at 3:44 pm to FalseProphet
I think the song is "Rains". The people are "Reynes". But in the end I don't think it matters and both represent the same thing.
Either way it is significant to the events of tonight. And a reference to the Lannisters. Hopefully it's their turn for something bad. It seems like those fricks get all the breaks except for Jaime and his hand.

Well I knew it meant something with the Lannisters. I'm hoping that one of them gets crushed (hoping its Cersei) tonight Reyne style.
As a matter of fact, I kinda hope that King's Landing just spontaneously combusts tonight with only Margaery's tits being spared.
We could hen focus on the people I care about.

I really hate that there is never any discussion in this thread until after the show ends.
I crave speculation. For example, I speculate that tonight Robb Stark is about to get screwed in a huge way by Walder Frey.
I also predict that Dany will obliterate Yunkai with her newly acquired Second Sons. She then frees all those slaves and has the biggest army in the world (assuming there are a ton of slaves in Yunkai).
Jon Snow continues to get knee deep in Ygritte, but hits a speed bump when Castle Black decides to fight back.

i thank you for my inclusion, but what is "the one" you speak of? If it was from that quote thread on the OT, i still feel like shite for that. i went back and edited as soon as i thought about it but you had seen
Were you banned for the comment on the tornado video thread? I saw your avi and sig were gone and looked into it.
They've gotten pretty sensitive about the F word in the last couple of years.

I don't even know. I really just quit caring about book readers v. Non book readers.

I just rewatched the scene where Dany wrecked shop in Astapor.
She is so badass. Poor Yunkai. The Yunkish should have accepted her offer.

quote:I'm expecting multiple deaths. The Rains of Castamere gives me a weird Corleone vibe, like they're going to "settle all family business." Because of Cersei's foreshadowing, I suspect at least one of the Tyrell's will die. I don't think it will be Marge, but who knows?
Also, didn't she say last week that her father slaughtered every last member of House Reyne? So I doubt that it could literally involve any members of House Reyne.
Robb might be in for it if his wife turns out to be a spy. One of the Stark kids might get it from Theon's captor, and if that happens, I'd bet money on Rickon. They wouldn't set up the whole Morg thing with Bran only to kill him off. Also, Jaime isn't home free yet.
The big question for me is the Night's Watch. There's a small army of zombie Crows out there somewhere. I'd say it's pretty certain that we'll see them eventually, and slightly less fat boy is still hard up to kill fat boy. If the entire order is in disarray, does that mean it's every man for himself? Are they no longer bound by their vows? How will that play out?

If a Tyrell dies, it will almost certainly be Lora's. Cersei sure as shite ain't marrying him.
