Are the books good? Worth buying and reading? I've been debating on going to Barnes and nobles today to purchase some books.

Having a gratuitous fire-crotch shot is always a good way to start a season

Arya earned some major bad-arse points when she recovered Needle.

Looking forward to next week :)

And I think she's the same one from S2 who Shae threatened about telling Cersei about Sansa's moonblood.

Did I see that one of Cersei's spies found out about Shay?

There is no doubt in my mind that she told Cersei. I got so sidetracked by the Valyrian Steel, I forgot about it. That sucks because it probably means Shay is about to meet her ending. I liked her.

this is a break from the books but they have been handling Shae different in the show so who knows what Cersei will do with that information... probably go to Tywin or blackmail Tyrion would be my guess.

The way she quoted his words back to him and waited for recognition before ending him was indeed bad arse. I'm expecting her to really wreak some havoc by killing some key Lannisters at a very inopportune (for team south of the wall) time.

So Oberyn and family hold a vengeance for the Lannisters and Gregor Celgane. Isn't Joffrey's little brother or sister staying at his house? If so, why not kill one of them?

Sister, the Imp sent her to Dorne in season 2. She is promised to marry Prince Doran's son.

Maybe they want to differentiate themselves from the Lannisters and kill the ones responsible instead of an innocent child?

I guess that's it. He's not as cold blooded as he wants us to think, if that's the case. When was the last time we saw Gregor Clendane?

Because that would be really, really fricked up. Oberyn doesn't want to harm innocents to pay for the blood of an innocent. He wants the Mountain and the man who gave him the orders.

Speaking of that scene, is that the same inn on the Kingsroad, where Cat took the Tyrion hostage?
