Sorry to hear about your hippocampal lesions. Are they bilateral? Do you mind if I ask what caused them?
eta: I'm got some brain damage myself to my left frontal and temporal lobes, but only very minor at this point. Not enough to prevent me from getting my PhD.

no idea. the doctor said they normally occur in old people or people who have had severe head trauma. i'm not old and have never had any head trauma whatsoever, diagnosed when i was 16 and am currently 27. good news is they aren't getting larger.

Good thing they're not getting any larger. I'm sure you've had a baseline eval from a Neuropsychologist by this point so you can see if there is any progression of your symptoms in the future. hopefully things will stay stable for you.
