I don't even remember that happening on the show. It has all become blurred. I either need to rewatch/reread or start drinking less.

i dont think it happened on the show, we get the convo about the bastard genocide with Tyrion, but at this point its not a spoiler if you discuss who sent the assassin to Bran

yeah, I guess not. I could swear that Tyrion talked to Cersei about it last season and she called Jeoffrey a monster and we had the whole "with incest, you flip a coin whether you get a mad king or not" "you beat the odds, the other two children are good kids" scene.

I feel bad because I reread the books more recently than I watched last season so it is all a blur

Book readers can still post in the Middle Ground, just nothing past where the show is currently.

For now.

Can someone tell me where to pick up my Scarlet "R" or will we just be tattooed on the wrist?

Yeah, as the OP, I don't see that changing anytime soon.

And I believe our reader status will be permanently linked to our IP address.

Honestly, by Dothraki standards, the Purple Wedding was a dull affair.

Yep. Only one person died and there was no orgy.

Bitter disappointing sequel to the Red Wedding, which would be the best wedding in history by Dothraki standards.

And yeah, same girl. The brunette.

Good for her. She enjoyed taunting Theon for Ramsey and now dies at the same hands.

Not sure if this question is OK, but:

Does anyone know what the constitution of Westeros says about the line of succession in this situation--i.e., where the king dies with a queen and no heir?

If people think an answer would be too spoilery, my apologies in advance.

I'll use the Lannisters as an example. Tywin has three children: Cersei, Jaime, and Tyrion. Casterly Rock would fist go to Jaime, but he gave it up. Tyrion should be next up, but was disinherited. Now Cersei herself is heir to the Rock. Joffrey would be next in line, but he'd likely hand it off to Tommen. If all 3 die, then Myrcella would rule Casterly Rock. If she died, then Kevan, Tywin's brother, would rule Casterly Rock, and from there his son Lancel (the Lannister Tyrion bullied in Season 2). That's a simple explanation of lines of succession in GoT.

But Joffrey has no children. Is Margery sovereign de jure?

Clear as mud.

And Tommen is the next in line for the throne as "Robert Baratheon's" oldest living son.
