I don't thin he is a reader, just a Rob Stark fan. Hell without knowledge of the RW we would be behind him as well.
Casterly Rock would be a nice prize.
Had he married a Frey, and not made his dad's dumb decisions and also left a garrison at home he would probably be king of Westeros by now.
I think in the end he would have made a separate kingdom in the north but I don't think he could of taken Kings landing. He is still vastly outnumbered because the lannisters have the Tyrells on their side now who are the 2nd wealthiest family in the kingdom only behind the lannisters.

Was Selmy ever there in the show though?
The show? I don't know. In the books, he clearly knew of the plot though. I don't think it was something Robert was really trying to hide. Like, he could be all drunk on a hunt and bragging "yeah, I'm having that dumb dragon bitch killed....what of it? Pass me the Dornish red."

that's who pointed out that she thought aaron was a reader. Seemed to expect something coming up. She shouldn't have pointed that out.
I know, I'm just saying she's not a reader, she doesn't have any idea what is coming up, she was just telling him to shut up with spoilers in general.

Yeah Im pretty sure he brought that up immediately in the book. I think it was when ser jorah called him out.

Yeah, I'm just saying I don't think he knows in the show. As for Robert, there is a great deal of difference in saying I want to have Dany killed, and outing the spy in her midst.
It wouldn't really make logical sense for Selmy to hide the information in the show based on what they have set up.

Yeah, it's immediately after Jorah recognizes him after he takes out the Titan's bastard with simply a staff. Jorah accuses him of being duplicitous, and Selmy responds by saying you're one to talk and lays down the boom.

They should have included that in the show, imo.

Let the gods sort it out.
What was up with the dead babies at Dragonstone?

It would have been nearly impossible to do justice in the show really. It would be Superman putting on glasses and not being recognized hokey.
That being said, Strong Belwas not being in the show is a travesty of epic proportions.

The hot tub scene was absolutely brilliant except the pass out I agree was bit over done.

I haven't watched beyond season 1 of the show yet, but I love spending time reading the non-book readers thread for a laugh or two.
I'm not the only one looking forward to the Red Wedding just to see them all flip their shite, am I?

Ummm, no. I think the readers don't want it to be spoiled for them more than they even do for themselves.

That's part of the annoyance to me of their reader witch hunts, cause shite we are more against them being spoiled than they are

Put down that Zero-G Jugs and get to doing something productive like catching up on this show.

I'm studying and I don't really have time to spare. I watch an episode every couple days or so.

unless word has gotten around town that Robb married that chick on the down low, they could still go to the Frey's and act like he's there to marry the Frey's daughter.
