I like Veep, Korra, and Parks and Rec, and their main character are all female. If you want to get into a show with multiple main characters and some happen to be female, I don't know where to start.

Korra is a good one.

The strong female characters are always enjoyable, IMO.

Bad arse females on TV shows or movies who can defeat fully trained male agents turn me off for some reason. Bad arse females like Dany from Game of Thrones, females who use their charisma rather than physical strength to get what they want, I don't have a problem with.

I don't think I've ever been a huge fan of any show where the show revolves almost entirely around a single figure. For example: West Wing, Game of Thrones, Lost, The Unit, House of Cards, Sons of Anarchy, etc.

The closest I think would be Dexter, Breaking Bad, and Californication. Obviously biased towards guys, but what major shows have a female as a true, almost solo lead? Girls? That show blows, so I don't think it is bias against female characters.

I find it difficult to get myself to watch shows like Revenge because the main character is a woman. How do you feel about shows with a girl as the single main character?

I'm the same way. Call it misogynistic or not, but i just can't get into them.

What's bad is i don't even like to read books written by women, because i have a preconceived notion that they do not have the insight to write in the perspective of a man.

The only book i've read on purpose, written by a woman, was Harry Potter.

I will edit to say that i do like

Parks and Rec
30 Rock
and Game of Thrones.

But i couldn't watch the Alias because i hate Jennifer Gardner. And i can't watch shows where women are these badass Special Forces esque, agents. Unless they are built like UFC fighter women (aka men) then i will not ever believe a woman can knock out a man with a punch, or ever be as strong or as quick as a man.

It's simple science. The female form was not made to break things on other people.

I do believe women have a higher pain tolerance, though.

I also liked zero dark thirty. The main woman character was strong on there too.

Come to think of it, i think i only like strong women characters in movies/tv. Thus the reason I was not sad when Lorie was killed off on walking dead.

Haywire with Gina Carano, and she don't look like no man.
