My favorite scene in 2 was when the titanic pulled up. I liked all scenes of 1.

I am not attracted at all to Segorny Weaver.

1 was better. 2 was still really damn good.

1 by a fricking movie mile.

2 was not good.

I never have been either, except in Ghostbusters, for some reason.

1 is an all time classic, but 2 was a very good sequel.

It's one of the best sequels of all time IMO. I swear I've started a thread discussing that before, but I can't find it.

You'll find that more people agree with my sentiment than of yours that it's "not good."

I love the Three Stooges eye-poke he does when he says that.

That it's one of the "best sequels of all time"?

I doubt that.

60% positive rating from viewers/51% from critics on RT

So, roughly 4/10 viewers agree with me.

How many of those that like it would put it up there with T2, Aliens, The Empire Strikes Back, and the LOTR sequels?

Hell, would you put it up there with those classics?

I think expectations were too high. A lot of the magic the first one had..the second one just didn't deliver as strong. For example, to top a giant marshmallow man walking through the city (which is iconic now)..they replaced it with the statue of liberty walking through the city. I liked it, just wasn't as strong. I watched it in theaters too.

Sure. Is it as good a movie as T2? Nah. But that's the whole point of being one of the best sequels...it doesn't mean it's the best. But it's up there.

It's almost as funny/quotable as the first one, which is considered a classic. That's pretty strong praise for a sequel (which, by default, are usually not as good).

I did too.

Statur of Liberty was the weakest part, agreed on that.

It's 1, but 2 is fantastic though. One of the better sequels of all time IMO.

What's amazing is how quotable both are. And 2 may even edge out 1 in quotability.

Always come through early.

I really really like 2. I don't agree with the "it's not even close" comments in this thread at all. Both are equally good, IMO.

Because one time, I turned into a dog....and they helped me. Thank you.
