I'm thinking the White Walkers break through the Wall the last episode of S6.

After the Hardhome ep, it's tough to put a lot of weight in any other drama aspect of the show. Nothing else holds a candle to the impending war with the White Walkers.
Oh Cersi had to walk naked... THERE'S A frickING UNDEAD ARMY HEADING SOUTH. Sure everything is incredibly fascinating and gripping, but is small potatoes compared to what's coming north of the wall.

I definitely agree that the King's Landing drama will be small potatoes in comparison once they breach the Wall.
I'm just trying to figure out how long it will take them to spread through Westeros, and how far South they'll go. I really hope we see it snowing in King's Landing at the end of S6.

Yeah, let's not forget about the little blonde girl and her pack of dragons and army. Westeros is going to get annihilated from top to bottom.
It is known.

Just as the White Walkers are invading from the north, Dany invades from the east with three of the only weapons that can stop them.

Yep, while everyone from Cersi, Sansa, and Dany to Littlefinger, Varys, and Tyrion are still playing the game of thrones, Jon, Sam, and Bran are the only people playing the game that will actually matter in the end.

In my dream world, hopefully this leaves us with King Jon to pick up the shattered pieces of Westeros. Alternatively, I would accept King Bran the Cripple Who Is Whole to put Westeros back together after Jon returns to man the Wall. I was so dismayed with what happened to Errard Stark that would be the most fitting thing for me.

I'm not sure the dragons can do jack shite to them TBH. The one last season walked his arse right through fire.
I guess they can mow down the wights with suppressive fire though. *snickers*

Yeah, dragon fire is more powerful than regular fire, just like dragon steel is more powerful than steel.
Then there's the dragon glass, and Dragonstone is apparently almost made of the stuff.

Speaking of, who is currently Lord of Dragonstone since the Mannis is no longer around?

I don't think anyone. It's chaos right now. If Davos wanted he could claim it I'm sure.

In the books, Loras took it after Stannis left, but was badly burned in the attack. I don't know who has it now, but the crown controls it.

This will never happen. Bran will never leave the tree and children of the forest. He is the 3 eyed crow now.

It's quite possible that "dragon steel" has nothing to do with dragons at all. "Dragon Glass" is just obsidian. A pretty popular theory is that "dragon steel" or "valyrian steel" is just steel forged with the obsidian (dragon glass) forged into the folds, as opposed to regular steel which is forged with carbon.
Yeah, dragon fire is hotter than regular fire. But we don't have any textual evidence that it affects Others. All we really have is cinematic evidence that fire, albeit regular fire, doesn't affect them.

quote:Look, it's not Popular Mechanics. It's a fantasy book. The stuff is called dragon steel and dragon glass for a reason, so although there is not yet textual evidence that dragon fire works, I'd be willing to bet that it does. We do know that it's hotter than regular fire because of Harrenhall.

Except we are told in the books that it is obsidian. We don't know why it's called dragon glass, but it's pretty unlikely that it's forming has/had anything to do with actual dragons. More likely, it's formed from volcanic activity. Assuming dragons hang out near volcanoes, which seems to be a thing, the people of Essos probably related the Obsidian with Dragons.
We have accounts of dragon glass (obsidian) in Westeros thousands of years before dragons.
