Does the Red Viper make an appearance in this season?
I don't believe that character comes in until SOS or Feast.
I can't remember though, the books blur together at this point

Yeah, with this series the way HBO is going about it is very hard to follow all the relationships/bloodlines.
Completely not their fault.. This story has the most characters I've ever seen, it's crazy how Martin created this huge world and history of ASOIF

I have no more questions, your honor.

Maester Aemon was one generation earlier in the books than he was in the show.

I really like his character. Without even thinking of when he appears in the series I'm just gonna guess and say we see him appear the episode before the finale.

You are correct.
However Maester Aemon in the books is Rhaegar, Viserys and Dany's great-great-uncle.
In the shows he is their uncle I believe

Are you saying he's called Rhaegar in the book?

But they are pulling events from the 3rd novel into this season. And there is one event I think will be the cliffhanger for this season which means he would need to have made an appearance already.

No, he is their great uncle in the show
Thats what I meant.
Like I said he is portrayed as being a generation younger in the show than the books.
He is portrayed as the son of Jeahery's instead of the son of King Maekar

Why am I watching this for a third time when I have to be up really, really early to run a golf tournament...
Posted on 4/1/12 at 10:06 pm to ATLienTiger
He doesn't show up until pretty deep into SoS. I would be very surprised if he made this season.

No he is Rhaegars great great uncle in the book.
and Rhaegars great uncle in the show.

O ok, I forgot who Rhaegor was for a second.. So many names!

Best use of that line since the poster JonSnow asked a "silly" question.

Ok back to this episode.. No Ghost? I'm ready to see that big white direwolf. Will he be that much bigger than the other direwolves?
