Was about to ask if anything interesting happened over the last 90 pages of posts since I checked last night.

We don't know exactly what that situation is. We know that Cersei went to the Iron Bank to borrow money to hire the Golden Company.

Who's to say the Iron Bank hasn't dealt with the Golden Company for some kind of betrayal.

Possible, but they already know Cersei is good for their business. Dude said they loved the interest payments and nearly jizzed his pants when it got paid off so quickly

And I might be misremembering, but doesn’t the IB hate the Targs?

just an fyi, apparently there is a huge difference in how it looked, streaming v. cable

I must've had the better one because visually it was incredible and I never thought it was too dark to see.

Also read that it looked far better on OLED and plasma. Regular LED, which I have, apparently can't hand the deep blacks as well.

Sounds like an excuse to get a new TV

Not gonna lie, I love Arya, but that would've been awesome if the NK would've just snapped her in half or something like that. It would've shown real consequences for main characters.

Part of me thinks he assumed she was just like anyone else, like Theons kamikaze attempt. Arya took advantage of him thinking he had the upper hand yet again.

Now that I think about it, Euron could have persuaded the GC to follow him, and he could go to whichever side he thinks will win

I just don’t see it going down like that but I guess we will find out soon

My question becomes now what was the point of resurrecting Jon Snow?

....really? He's the reason they're all together. This is an insanely stupid comment.

The Iron Bank, like most banks, is risk averse. They didn't like the Mad King.

They might prefer hitching their wagon to a dragon.

I wonder if there is any type of Others threat out there that we haven't seen or that is not connected to NK.

The thought of the NK touching Bran and him turning would be cool, but they don’t have enough time unless the leave that as a cliff hanger at the end of the series

Was this link posted?

Arya just jumps really well. Did not come from the tree. (which was obvious by the WW anyways)

I watched wrestling when I was little. Double leg drop kick is the move for the NK there

The way I have rationalized the “Arya sneaking up” issue is that the NK got cocky and let his guard down. The NK controlled the WWs and the wights like chess pieces. They emphasized this during the battle when the NK stops and uses some hand motion to get the wight to start sacrificing themselves to build a wall of bodies so other wights can advance beyond the trench’s that were on fire. Also, why would the wights and WWs just stop advancing on Bran unless the NK held them back. Whether the NK needed to physically be the one to kill Bran, or take power from him, or whatever other reason, the WWs and wights had become stationary figures and were no longer on the offensive ... they had met their objective and had no further orders from the NK. In that regard, Arya could have moved through the wights without being noticed since the NK was focused on Bran. Or better yet, she showed earlier that she used the mass of wights in an escape where she rolled over the top of them in a stairwell, so maybe her 6’5” vertical can be explained by her running on the shoulders of wights to make her flying attack on the NK. Thus, all the argument over the sneak attack is the NK’s fault . . . he pulled the “Leon Lett” move in The Battle of

Screw it ... I was entertained and I don’t need an explanation for every stretch of the imagination. If I did, I never would have made it to season 2.

You know why the wall was so epic when you first saw it? Because it was to protect against the real big bad. It tells the viewer, hey this political drama means nothing when concerning whatever the wall is meant to stop.

It's why Winter is Coming is the house words of the main family we follow.

The first scene of the show was WW related. The series has always been telling you the army of the dead is what matters and the politics is fiddling while Rome burns.

100% this.

Exactly.
