Also the WW threat will be severely underestimated by the rest of Westeros and the known world because their army barely made it past the wall.

don’t really even see how’s it’s possible for majority of the characters to have similar book arcs. Arya and Jon are the only two that the show didn’t change that much
very little deviated a great deal early on.

Don’t let this distract you from the fact that Ramrod called me out about D&D using source material for all the things I’ve stated, which as far as I can tell not a single one was from the books
so Hodor wasnt in the books? you chose 4 things. i can chose 4 things that werent in the books... Im not saying the show went letter for letter to the books. Man you really suck at this.

Hard to ague with someone who’s: a) wrong and b) constantly moving their goalposts

He hasn’t died in the books, which is what I was referring to.

You burn them. Period.

You don't ever risk them being resurrected again.

Also, if Bran was just luring the Night King in and knew where Arya was, couldn't he have just asked Theon to stand a little closer to him?

The way they killed him was a bummer too. It was actually bad arse and made the Night King badass and then was immediately invalidated.

ETA: just to remind everyone, your argument for these not being a good example was that D&D took this from Martin source material (not true), then when you were proven wrong you changed it to “it’s not the end”
im just arguing with your rules. you chose 4 things 2 of which were right.. you want to forget about what you got wrong? Should i make sure to alert everyone that you were wrong? you must have low self esteem.

I think the point was that D&D have done some VERY unhappy things on this show. Some really brutal, fricked up things.

To say they are going to have a totally sunshine and butterflies ending goes against what they have done so far.

But GRRM has been setting up at least a semi-happy ending for a very long time.

All 4 were right. None of them happened in the books. Shireen is still alive, the sept still stands, Viserion is still with Dany, and Hodor is alive. You were totally wrong on this, it is easy to google and verify

I haven’t changed my stance or what I said one time. I think you have reading or comprehension issues or both

I wish you good fortune for the rest of your life

because the books havent gotten there. yet it has been widely publicized that Hodors fate will be very similar in the books.

Feel like there may be more WW threat left, as far as a revelation goes.

This story cant have a feel good ending.

You mean the ones who are behind the show? Let’s assume you’re right, then D&D are following the story to a T and the “shitty” last few seasons are Martin’s fault

Can’t have it both ways

Also, “because the books haven’t gotten there”

So does it come from source material or not?

Why not line the entire field with pitch and light it after an organized retreat back to a second line, leaving more pitch behind as your retreat? Then when you abandon the second line for the castle, light that wave of pitch?

You would have hours of trebuchet fire, burning fields, dothraki in the flanks with bows for raiding+retreating, and hours of sustained damage with ZERO man to man combat.

Once the foot soldiers retreat into the castle, the dothraki flee to safety and then dany+jon instruct the castle walls to be 100% manned, and flaming pitch is poured onto the scaling undead. From there Jon+Danny fly their dragons to attempt to locate and LURE the NK to the gods-wood trap. idk just spitballing.

This would’ve been a much better battle plan then what was shown. Instead they decided to fight a massive army head on with their only hope being to lure the NK in and kill him.
