It’s not the jump itself people are obsessed with. It’s the fact that the literal hundreds of wights and white walkers guarding the Night King let the jump happen

So we have an assassin who is as quiet as a cat, pretty quick from what we know, and people are bitching about the AOA. Sounds like people are more riled up on the jump than the WW’s

The NK couldnt even make it to the Riverlands? .

He should have at least made it to KL and battled there.

Show runners completely fricked him IMO.

And thus the show has made her character too powerful. I understand that she is a skilled assassin. But there is such a thing in fiction as being too good. Arya has effectively become too good. There is no rhyme or reason to have armies and war lords descend upon Cersei because Arya can literally kill anyone at any time.

It was extremely evident that she ran fast as frick past the white walker (why his hair blew in the wind) and then just jumped up toward the NK. This isn’t that hard to gather from watching it...

right which means she ran by hundred of wights and a dozen WWs. which is laughable.

A battle with the dead was much better at Winterfell. The wind/snow/ice made it a pretty sweet matchup. Kings Landing has had like two snow flakes since winter arrived.

She came within an asshair of dying in this episode of it weren’t for the hound and Beric. She got her shite rocked a few times this episode too. Of course it’s a tv show so we have the luxury of over analyzing it, but the show runners figured out that people liked Arya being a killer and really went down that road hard.

Both for me, but one happened on screen and one didn't. With the way she Sonic'd past the WW, I'm just going to assume she did the same to get there.

what im saying is that its ridiculous for the Others to only make it to Winterfell considering everything that has built up to them. And for this impending threat to not kill a major character is pretty terrible IMO.

But the actual episode was amazing as far as effects and music and execution, I just didnt like the story of it.

Damn, I had convinced myself Arya jumped out of the tree

Knowing that she just charged him really changes that scene for me

Im not trying to change your mind bc I can see why someone wouldnt like it.

But knowing her skill set, I dont think it is that crazy to say she could sneak past some wights in the forest (there wasnt an entire army right there) and then be able to sprint to the middle with it being too late for the WW to react. Their attention was clearly focused on the NK and Bran. A WW could have easily thought any movement around him was just another wight.

Which is why I think they are going to kill her off. It makes a lot of sense. Getting everyone on the Arya train, giving her this much "power" and then shocking everyone by killing her

I hear ya. Just curious, what major character did you WANT to die?

That scene essentially gave her superpowers. That's why I'm so bothered by how they did it.

Can someone explain to me why the Night King always spares Jon Snow?

He didnt challenge him at Hardhome and last night he didnt either. Also, why didnt the wights attack Jon? Seems like he had plenty of chances to kill him but didnt.

Up until the moment at the tree with Bran, the Night King is all about limited risk to himself.

What's the point of engaging a skilled fighter with a Valerian steel sword (which he saw him use once) if he can get the dead to overwhelm him instead?

They need to give a simple reason for the Night King confronting Bran himself. Like he wanted to turn him, or he thought he could get his powers, etc.

Because if he just wanted him dead, he never had to even show up.

I see a lot of people were expect a bunch of big names to die. Instead we get the armies of Dany and Jon destroyed with only few big names dying. We still have three episodes left wonder if Tyrion will be able to redeem his story

I thought it would have been a good move to have a very major character like Brienne take a sword to the face in the first 30 seconds. Would have really set the tone bleakly without dragging it out (I felt her character arch was complete last episode). That being said, I think the dothraki getting annohilated and the unsullied getting swarmed equally accomplished showing how at odds they were.
