I am guessing Ilyn Payne is getting ignored since his actor had cancer.

Has it been mentioned at all in the show?

Not that I know of, I would imagine it's somewhere around the fist of the first men though.

This is getting blow out of proportion.
The people on the subreddit saying 'it ruined the realism' are making me laugh my arse off.
I guess it wasn't the dragons or white walkers that did it.
It didn't ruin anything for me, I was just like what the frick? And that was it.
I just checked reddit though, holy shite those people are pissed about it

Hodor coming in peace, here
Quick question (since this crowd seems more knowledgable): does Melisandre's magic and rituals require a royal to actually die, or does it just require that royal to be placed alive in a fire?
I know that seems a minor detail to ask about... until you consider Dany. Seems like you could toss her on a burning pyre and do your magic, and then she can just walk back out afterwards.
Sorry if this has been addressed before, I just thought of it.

So the plan is Sam tells Jon go to Dragonstone. And Dany is there now.
I can roll with that
I can roll with that

Maybe Bran (since he's marked) passing the Wall broke the spell on it? But then again the Wall probably isn't coming down till the end of the season.

Any chance we see Howland Reed this season?
I would shite myself.

I didn't even know who that was until my wife said his name. I still don't know who that is.

No it's only in the books
The wildling king had his men digging for it. Their camp was also an excavation site. He didn't find it so he had a fake as I remember to scare the nights watch into letting them pass

That's just stupid. I have no idea who you are talking about, nor do I want to. No scene was ruined.

Yeah that meeting is going to break the internet

One thing that was out of place was Euron's clothes. He was dressed modern like or like a 90s rockstar.

I wonder if the night king has it
Would be fricking awesome.

I think it's an interesting question that hasn't really been truly answered. She was able to revive Jon without a royal dying. Same with Thoros and Beric. I tend to this the darker magic she conducts is just part of her wheelhouse. That she just needs royal blood for certain things.
I could be totally wrong though.

I didn't know the guy was famous or who he was but I could tell it was a musical cameo with the framing and the line "it's a new song"
Definitely shatters suspension of disbelief momentarily but didn't ruin anything. It was definitely a low point for the show

I wonder if Jon and Dany are gonna like have a sixth sense type of connection. You know, a Targaryen alone in the world is a terrible thing. RIP Maester Aemon.

Nothing was ruined, it just seemed out of place for a second to me and the I moved on.

So we have dragons, white walkers, resurrections, black pussy smoke demon babies, but it's ED SHEERAN that shattered suspension of disbelief.

Ed Shereen has already done more damage than Cersei ever did.
