Bastard Bowl is going to be epic IMO.

I really think Osha thought she could kill him herself. She prob told smalljon and rickon not to worry, she could handle it.

I think the GNC is a more compelling story and more true to the characters than just having a big arse battle.
As I've said before, we don't know how the books will go down, but my beliefs here applies equally to be both books and show.
The GNC ties together so much of the North and brings that to a very satisfying close. The battle scenes will be cool but as a plot element, I'm very indifferent.
I'm also thinking bad things are going to happen to Rickon which is annoying me. Just seeing OSHA die was really annoying.

Are you using what happened tonight in the show as proof of what happened in the books?
I'm confused.
Oh, by the way, which one's Pink?
And did we tell you the name of the game, boy?

I'm wondering what E5-8 will be for Jon and crew. Going to different houses to get support?

will the tyrells and lannisters destroy the sparrow before Cercei's trial? no #cleganebowl?

No, I'm really just citing the book.
And the GNC, as interesting as it is, is simply Crackpot in my mind. No way they'd do this with the Hodors.

Yes. I think a Davos & Manderly scene may be in the offering.

Nah, Cleganebowl is happening. GET HYPE!

The whole Lady Dustin rant is a strong clue that some form of the GNC is afoot in the books...
But no, it doesn't look good for the show, at least a GNC including the Umbers. Hope I'm wrong tho.

Man I really need to reread DwD. I don't remember the Pink Letter at all
Posted on 5/15/16 at 10:46 pm to Samso
I don't see Cleganebowl happening in the show. We've never even seen the gravedigger.

I'm not buying the "extended GNC" theory. I just think Manderly, Karstark, and Umbed wouldn't flip allegiances to psycho arse Ramsay no questions asked.

You realize there's 6 episodes left this season right?? A lot could happen
.

We never saw Sandor die, either.
Posted on 5/15/16 at 10:49 pm to CorporateTiger
maybe there won't be a cleganebowl in terms of a trial by combat, but i still don't think we've seen the last of sandor.
they have to kill off sir gregor somehow. only one person in the show universe has the capability to do that.

This isn't a book we don't have time to do the backstory the first time we see him will be at the trial by combat

quote:Yeah, it's also hard to believe that Ramsay would care if Osha killed some ironborn to help the boys escape, so I doubt that would be an "oh shite, I have to kill him now" moment.
Totally agreed on Osha. Ramsay is just kinda played out. The only question is whether it was a setup by the Umbers... I'm more and more on the no side of the argument.
Watching it again. The writing is really breaking down. The Brienne scene with Davos and Mel is very similar in that it's just random. It serves a purpose, but it's just crammed in there.
