I'm just guessing. I'm not saying it's guaranteed he goes north; but I fully expect him to miss Sansa wherever the frick he ends up.

Your original quote that sparked this helped along by a picture that was labeled wrong. I'm only here to set it straight. Jon is not going North. He's heading inside the castle.

I have no clue why people think he was leaving ASAP after the hangings. He still has to pack up supplies, get horses, etc. before he leaves the Wall.

Same here. I think the Poli board has ruined me (and probably anyone else who follows it)

Yeah, we must assume that Thormund is getting the wildling army ready to march, but Jon has to pack his shite at the very least.

Not much of a reader, not much of a hunter, not much of a fighter... Poor Davos has made it a long time off the good graces of someone else.

But he was willing to die over Jon's dead body; he'd be cool with me.

But why was it so important to Davos to raise Jon back from the dead? The show never really explained why Davos felt the need to do this. It's not like Davos even knew Jon very well.

The truth? They dumped the Manderly/White Harbor/Skagos storyline in favor of what we're getting and Davos (a popular character) had to have something to do. He's associated with Stannis and his crew.

Keep in mind - in the released books to date - Stannis, his Queen and Shireen are all still alive.

If he wasn't currently attached to the Jon Snow storyline and didn't die at Stannis' side last season, there would literally be nothing for the Onion Knight to do on the show.

Because Davos had a moral compass and became convinced he was the only one willing to do what was necessary to save the Realm from the Others.

Yeah, but did they really do a good job of getting that train of thought over to us? All we really got was Davos finding his body, moving it to a room, then being willing to die for a guy he barely knew, and then begging Mel to raise him. I just think they kind of missed an opportunity to explain to Mel what he was doing this (as a way to fill us in), that's all I'm saying. It just seemed kind of out of the blue that he'd go to those lengths for a man he had just met.

He has the honor or Ned but is also an old pirate who knows sometimes doing that you have to do regardless of "honor" is ok. He's going to last I hope

That's what I said. That was a NEGATIVE 138 percent chance that he goes north

God forbid I give D&D credit but its due where its due. Keeping Davos on-screen was a smart move, even if it meant bending storylines. Dude has universal appeal and I like his voice.
Wish he would do audiobooks.
I could listen to him read from the dictionary and be entertained.

Long live Onion Man.
