I shall

it will probably not make much sense and/or be horribly written, but I'm pretty sure it will happen in some form

Or the maester said something. He saw it too, which is why I think even mentioning how Roose died was a mistake by Littlejon. Ramsey isn't the type of guy to miss on something like that because it means someone has betrayed his trust. Maester or Karstark?

It isn't like nobody in the North could figure out that Roose suddenly dead + Walda and trueborn/newborn heir suddenly dead = psychopath bastard Ramsay did it to protect his Lordship. Jesus. Plus there's the fact that no self-respecting Northern house would kill Roose by poison as Ramsay's story goes.

I want the GNC to be true but I am worried the show sand snakes this plot up

• The fact that he also knew about Roose getting killed shows that there is some communication with the Karstarks. (If lord Karstark was "loyal" to Ramsey he would have kept his mouth shut)

This is more just reading between the lines. I am sure most people don't believe the poisoned story

Thorne also said "Lord Snow and his army of wildlings", is he in on the conspiracy as well?
Thorne has a reason to say it, and in a totally different context. Umber does not know anything.

LF is gathering his army in the Vale and will soon march on Winterfell. That's his true Northern prize that he wants to claim.

It's going to be very interesting to see the Battle of the Bastards and his LF fits into all of those plans.

The people in here who want to believe D&D wrote in the GNC are adorable.
So you think Ramsay is going to live forever? Or will he be defeated in an epic Lord of the Rings battle where he kills Rickon on the walls of Winterfell, Jon yells "noooooooooo!" and after a 20 minute fight, cuts off Ramsay's head.

Yeah, that's brilliant writing.

I think we'll get that, but I think we'll get some form of betrayal. There's no LSH, no great wolf pack, and the Freys at least have to get theirs in a big way. It's hard to do that without another house turning on them, and they are Bolton allies.

If you see Bran's story about the Rat King in the "previously on" prologue, you'll know. It's happening.

No, I believe Jon and Davos will lead the wildlings and a few northern houses vs Ramsay, the Karstarks, and Umbers. I don't believe there will be any great conspiracy.

Maybe. They've made it a point to say that Bran will not be in the tree forever, and he has already served as lord of Winterfell. IF he's not in the tree, where the hell else would he go?

I will be really annoyed if "The North remembers" means nothing and Umber, Karstark, and Manderly are all just "Ramsay the Bastard Bolton is our new lord? Well whatever who gives a shite about anything."

I will also be annoyed if that is really just Shaggydog that died off camera.

Side note, cocomo might be the worst hodor of all hodor. I know years past he was captain of the SS picking off Hugo's list but Jesus his opinions are just shite.

I mean, look at how D&D have wrote the northern storyline so far. It's been pure shite.

Shaggy Dog's sacrifice was necessary to make the ploy convincing.
Pretty sure that was his head.

Good news is, Smalljon bout to go in dry on Ramsay.
Everything he said, he meant.
Beautiful.

The writers will get total redemption for their Northern storyline when the GNC pays off. I think it is going to happen and I think when it does it is going to be a Red Wedding type moment for us watching. Ramsey looked way too smug and feels like he is in total control in that last scene. You know when that happens in this show nothing good happens for that character.

Another thing about GoT is that the Houses that have been overthrown on the show, it has not happened by direct combat, it has happened by scheming, plotting, and subterfuge. That is how House Bolton will go down too, by a conspiracy. It's called a Game of Thrones for a reason.
