In the books yes, Dawn is a greatsword.
I assume Ned's father (or Brandon) took Ice to King's Landing and he didn't get it back until after the siege.

I think a blizzard should start while they are sword fighting.
Dayne : "Looks like the forecast calls for Snow"
Ned: 30 second fart

According to you D&D will be lucky if the Hodors even remember a scream by the end of the epsiode

I'm shooting off ideas for a horribly written sequence in effort to appease the biggest idiot fans. Give me an hour or two and I'm sure I can come up with something better to feed the illiterate idiots, but it was just the first thought that popped into my head.

It makes total sense for the crow to mention what this to Brann. It is interesting that they are reviewing the life of Lyanna Stark in these visions. I assume they are pointing to Jon Snow's lineage being important as him being TPTWP or AAR.

But the siege of King's Landing happened before the ToJ, right? So Ned should've been carrying Ice, I would think.

I'm melting on the ToJ so that I don't have to think about how badly they are gonna screw us out of the Great Northern Conspiracy (and screw over Rickon).

Theoretically yes. Ned should have been to wield Ice if he wanted to. Given that he probably never trained with it though, I don't think it is unreasonable to think he would just use the sword he fought a whole war with.

Man we totally forgot the Shaggy Dog melt in all of this.

only arya's and jon's direwolf is left alive right?
Posted on 5/8/16 at 11:57 pm to CorporateTiger
Well since they cast Ned as a dude that weighed 130 lbs, I'm not surprised that Ned was not wielding ice.

I wanted a post-hanging pic, but you'll just have to settle for this.

Just watched it...
Wish we would have been able to see inside the Tower of Joy... But at least we're starting to get bits and pieces of it. Wasn't as awesome as in the books though.
Varys was absolutely awesome in his scene with the woman of Mereen. Creepy as hell.
Davos quote about failure when speaking to Jon Snow was awesome as well.
Finally got some Arya scenes and her character is starting to come around and develop on the show. She's awesome in the books.
frick the Umbers for Rickon and Osha and killing shaggy dog. May be just a ploy to get them into Winterfell and someone on the inside with Ramsey. Hopefully that's their plan. If not, frick them. But the character was awesome though.
You may hate him, but you gotta respect Allister Thorne. Didn't go out like some pussy and said he would do it again if he could.
Oh... And Jon Snows watch has ended

I wonder if we'll get a flashback to the the tournament where Rhaegar gives Lyana the roses next episode to give context for the big reveal. Based on episode synopses, it's looking like Episode 5 for R + L = J. Episode is called "The Door"
